Indiana Horse Rescue is the Equine Division of Animal Protection Coalition, Inc. a 501 (c)3 non profit organization dedicated to animal welfare! Indiana Horse Rescue is to date Indiana's largest equine rescue operation. We currently have six facilities that house and care for horses in need 24/7. We pride ourselves in providing quality care to those horses that are in search of a new permanent home. Indiana Horse Rescue frequently works with Animal Control and Law Enforcement officers on abuse and neglect cases where equine are in need of being impounded, rehabilitated, and re homed. We also accept horses from individuals that can no longer provide a home for their horse. Indiana Horse Rescue is an ALL breed horse rescue, we have no limits to the age, breed, gender, etc. of horses needing to come in.
Mission Statement
To provide a caring, positive environment for those horses that have either been neglected, abused, abandoned, and/or are at risk of going to slaughter. We will place these horses in an environment that benefits both the horse and the adoptive family.

Princess
@ IHR
Central West
Princess is a 20 + Quarter Horse type mare. She is the BEST walk trot horse! She rides Western and English. She has many ribbons from her two years of carrying a young (9 years old) girl to some shows. She does trails like a pro- we've had her over trails and she stands tied to the trailer and leads or follows. She is good with bathing, trimming and vet work! Please click here for more pictures and information on this very special old gal!
Special Needs Horse
Apollo

Apollo was impounded by Law Enforcement Officers due to severe neglect. Not only was his body condition poor, he had excessive hoof growth. Apollo is now under the care of Indiana Horse Rescue volunteers and receiving constant farrier care as well as a healthy balanced diet. Please keep this boy in your prayers as he has a long road ahead of him! Click here to see pictures of this poor boy and to follow Apollo's progress!
